Our K–8 Freedom Classical Academy charter school is seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist to join our school community. The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive environment for all families.
The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, highly organized, professional, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced school setting.
Schedule
- Part-time
- Approximately 20–30 hours per week
- Monday–Thursday
- 7:30am-12:30pm; some schedule flexibility
Essential Responsibilities
- Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a warm and professional manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in both English and Spanish
- Translate and communicate information clearly for Spanish-speaking families
- Manage visitor check-in procedures and follow school safety protocols
- Support student attendance, tardy, and sign-in/sign-out procedures
- Perform general office and clerical duties including filing, copying, scanning, and data entry
- Assist with parent communication, school correspondence, and front office operations
- Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
- Provide administrative support to school leadership and office staff as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required (spoken and written)
- Previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, or school office experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace preferred
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a school environment
